Step 1: Enabling Encircle's Integrated Services in Xactimate
Xactimate offers third-party integrations (TPIs) to make it easy for users to send and receive data from other companies. For this you'll need to go into Xactimate Admin. Go to xactimate.com/admin/sign-in or open the home page of Xactimate > click the Products icon > and select Xactimate Admin.
- From Xactimate Admin, open the Instances page.
- Select the Integrated Services tab.
-
Click the Encircle row.
- A side menu will open on the right. Enable the checkbox for Interior Walls.
-
Click Next.
- Enter any extra information you want to send to the third party in the Notes box. (What you enter here isn't important, but some text is required to proceed).
-
Click Confirm.
Encircle's services are now enabled for your instance of Xactimate. Now you need to go into Encircle and enable Xactimate integration (see instructions below).
Step 2: Enabling Xactimate Integration in Encircle
Before you start, have your XactNet Address ready. You can find this under your profile information.
*You will need admin permissions in Encircle to do this.
- In the web app, click the ⚙️ Settings icon.
- Select Organization Settings.
- Select Integrations.
- Click the toggle button to enable the Xactimate integation.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name for your integration.
- Enter your XactNet address - specifically, just enter the last part after the @ symbol.
- Click Save.
*Note that you will be able to connect multiple Xact accounts to your Encircle account if needed. You will need the XactNet address for each account you wish to connect to Encircle.
With these steps complete, you’re ready to start importing your floor plans!
