Using Zapier with Encircle

In this article:

What is Zapier?

Zapier is a service that allows you to automate interactions between various applications without requiring any code. For instance, you could use Zapier to automatically update a spreadsheet whenever you are tagged in a new social media post or whenever a contract gets signed.

Users create “Zaps”, which are automations initiated by a “Trigger” in one software that then performs one or more “Actions” in other software applications using data provided by the initial trigger. We built and maintain an Encircle Zapier app that can be used with any other of the thousands of apps on Zapier.

How do I use Zapier with Encircle?

How much does it cost to use Zapier?

Zapier charges by “task”, which roughly translates to a successful action being run in a Zap. If a Zap has multiple actions that run, then that counts as multiple tasks. If a Zap triggers but has a condition that needs to be met for an action to proceed, and that condition fails to be met, then it does not count as a task.

A good example to understand their pricing is to imagine you have a Zap that creates a property claim in Encircle when you create a job or customer in another app. That Zap is likely just a trigger and a single action (ie. 1 task). This means you could use Zapier for free if you typically handle less than 100 claims per month. You can visit Zapier's website for more details about their pricing.

Who Can Build Zaps?

Zapier doesn’t require programming knowledge, but it will require someone with technical bravery and a willingness to learn.

If you need help using Zapier, we recommend contacting a Zapier expert to build your automations for you. In most cases it’s likely only a few hours or less of work.
