Encircle’s pricing extension lets you browse the web for replacement items and save prices directly into your claim.
Finding Replacement Pricing
- From the Spreadsheet tab, click the shopping cart icon to the right of an item. Or open the item, scroll down, and click Price Using.
- Select a retailer from the list to jump to their website or choose Google to perform a Google search. Note: The retailer’s site opens in a new browser window. You may need to minimize Encircle to view it.
At the top of the retailer page, the extension auto-fills the item description in the search bar. You can use this menu to enter a custom search or switch to another retailer.
Browse around until you find a suitable replacement item.
- Once you find a suitable match, click the yellow highlighted price. *Important: Make sure you do this from the specific item's page, not from a search results page. You don't want to bookmark a search results page.
- Review the details and click Save Replacement.
- After saving, you'll be redirected back to Encircle where the replacement value has been updated and the bookmark saved. (The URL will appear in reports for adjusters and clients so they can see where you sourced your pricing.)
- You can repeat this process as many times as needed to save additional replacement items.
Setting a Primary Replacement Price
The primary replacement item will be denoted with a red ribbon icon beside it. By default, the most recent bookmarked item is set as the primary one.
To change this selection, click the bookmark icon next to the preferred replacement item.
The primary item is what the system will use to populate the Replacement Value (RCV) and calculate depreciation and actual cash value.
Encircle automatically calculates the total replacement costs for the claim, shown under the Overview tab.
