Transferring Claim Ownsership

By default, Claim Ownership resides with the organization that created the claim. Whichever org "owns" the claim has the ability to manage certain functions such as merging, deleting, and re-sharing the claim.

There may be some scenarios where you want to transfer the ownership of a claim to a different org; usually when working closely with a sister company in your own network or franchise group.

To transfer ownership of a claim, start by sharing the claim with someone from the other org.

Then click Transfer Ownership next to their org name.

After transferring ownership, you and your team can still work out of the claim. However, the other org will have control over merging, deleting, and re-sharing of the claim.
