You can add photos, text, videos, and Matterport models to any room in the claim. Typically these notes and media will have information that is specific to the room. *Notes that are more general in content or "claim level" should be placed in the General Notes area.
Start by opening the room where you wish to add notes or media. Navigate to the Structures & Rooms tab and then select a room.
Adding Room Notes
Notes are ideal for capturing in-depth details about the structure and the loss for your room documentation; things like Pre-Existing Damage, Cause of Loss, Structural Damage, and so on.
Ideally, your field teams will be capturing this information in the mobile app. However, if needed, you can add and edit notes from the web app.
In many cases, you'll be working with media that already exists on the claim rather than adding it yourself. For example, you may want to create notes using room photos that a field user forgot or neglected to label.
To add a note:
- Open the Room Notes tab.
- Click +Add.
- Enter a title and/or description.

(Optional) Click the Add button add media to the note if you like.
- You can Upload Media from your device or Select Existing Media from the claim (in most cases you'll probably be using existing media from the claim).

- Select the photos/videos you wish to add to the note.
- Click Add.
- Click Save Photos & Videos to confirm your selection.
- Click Save to save your changes.
Using Note Templates
Your org may have some custom note templates set up to use for common items such as daily summaries, source of loss, structural damage, pre-existing damage, etc. These templates are pre-filled with certain information to make your entry as fast and easy as possible and ensure critical info is not left out.
To use a template in your note, follow these steps:
- Click +Template.
- Select the template you want to use.
- Click Use.
- Fill out the note - you can add or remove information to the pre-filled text as needed. Add media to your note if desired.
- Click Save.
Adding Photos & Videos to a Room
Your field teams will primarily be the ones adding photos and videos to rooms. But every once in a while you may need to hop in and do this. Say you receive photos from the field via email, cloud upload, etc.
To add photos to a room, follow these steps:
- Make sure you've got the Photos & Videos tab open.
- Click Add.
- Choose how you wish to add media:
- Click Upload Media to upload photos from your computer. Or click Select Existing Media to use photos from elsewhere on the claim. Note that if photos are in the wrong room, you can move them between rooms.
