Room Sketch - Structural Sketch

In this article:

Encircle Sketch provides you with an option to draw a room or floor plan with a digital tool that includes room drawing, measurements, annotations, and embedded photos. This  makes it easy to get a clean and legible sketch instantly visible to the entire team and back office.

Adding a Sketch

  1. Tap the + button.
  2. Select Sketch.
  3. Choose from the sketching options:
    1. New Structural Sketch allows you to draw your room and mark it up with measurements, photos, text, and more. Users often use this function on their initial walkthrough or inspection, to be used as a reference later for their Xactimate drawing.

    2. New Moisture Map is similar to structural sketch, but with the added ability to plot moisture points and equipment. If you’re not ready for this step yet, choose Structural Sketch. You can always use the sketch as a moisture map later when you’re ready to begin plotting moisture data. Check out our article on moisture mapping for more info about this.

    3. Sketch On a Photo allows you to use a photo as the background for your sketch - for example a photo of a hand drawn sketch or a floor plan image.

    4. Copy an Existing Sketch will copy a sketch from elsewhere in the claim. This is handy on a multi-unit loss where your units have similar room shapes and floor plans.
