If you have limited cell signal and no wifi at the jobsite, it may be useful to switch to Offline Mode. In this mode, the Encircle app will function as normal but will not send or receive updates.
In other words, you can work out of the app, but your changes will not sync to the cloud, and you won’t see other users’ changes during this time. The main advantage to working in Offline Mode is saving battery life.
To enable Offline Mode, follow these steps:
- Tap the Network Settings icon at the bottom right corner of the app.
- Under Network Usage, select Offline Mode.
When you return to a place where you have wifi or better signal, simply switch back to Wifi + Data mode or Wifi Only mode. Encircle will then automatically sync everything you did while offline, and update your device with any new information from other team members.
Downloading Data
If you plan to work offline, it's a good idea to go ahead and download any claim data to your device beforehand, so that you have the most up-to-date info on the job as possible.
- Tap the 3 bars at the top right corner of the claim.
- Select Download Data to fetch all the latest data
from the claim.
