If you have limited cell signal and no Wi-Fi at the job site, it may be useful to switch to Offline Mode. In this mode, the Encircle app will function as normal but will not send or receive updates.
In other words, you can work out of the app, but your changes will not sync to the cloud, and you won’t see other users’ changes during this time. The main advantage of working in Offline Mode is that it saves battery life.
Before switching to Offline Mode, download the claim data using the Download Data steps below.
To enable Offline Mode, follow these steps:
- Tap the Network Settings icon in the bottom-right corner of the app.
- Under Network Usage, select Offline Mode.
When you return to a place with Wi-Fi or a better signal, simply switch back to Wi-Fi + Mobile Data mode or Wi-Fi Only mode. Encircle will then automatically sync everything you did while offline and update your device with any new information from other team members.
Download Data
If you plan to work offline, it's a good idea to download any claim data to your device beforehand, so you have the most up-to-date info on the job.
- Tap the three bars in the top-right corner of the claim.
- Select Download Data to fetch all the latest data
from the claim.
