Keeping Your Encircle App Up to Date

Encircle regularly releases updates to improve performance, reliability, and security. To ensure the best experience, we require the Encircle mobile app to be updated within the last 3 months.

What happens if my app is out of date?

If your app version is more than 2 months old, you will start seeing a reminder to update every 3 days you open the Encircle app. You can dismiss this reminder and continue using the app normally during this time.

If your app version is more than 3 months old, you will be required to update before you can continue.

What happens to my unsynced data?

Unsynced data will not be impacted by updating your app. If you have unsynced items prior to updating, those items will remain in your local queue until the app is updated, then you are able to connect and sync down.

We highly encourage you to sync your data regularly to ensure you and your team are working on the most current documentation. Learn more here about how to sync your data.

How to update

Open the App Store or Google Play, search for Encircle, and tap Update. Or tap the Update Now button in the reminder to go directly to the store.

Enabling automatic updates on your device means you'll always be on the latest version without having to think about it.

For organizations with managed devices

If your organization manages devices through an MDM platform such as Jamf or Microsoft Intune, your IT administrator controls when app updates are installed. Please share this article with your IT team and ask them to approve and push Encircle updates regularly.
