Sending a Scope to Xactimate

• Import the Estimate into Xactimate

Turn your field data into a review-ready Xactimate estimate in minutes. Through this process you will export your Scope and Floor Plan. Ensure that you have enabled Xactimate Integration if you haven't already.

Create a Data Request in Xactimate

This process is essentially the same for both Xactimate Online & Xactimate Desktop.

1. Select the project where you want to import the estimate.

2. Click on the Data Request icon to start the Property Data Request. [Xactimate Desktop users will also need to select New Order]. 

   

3. The data request submission form will open in a new tab of your internet browser [you may be prompted to login to Verisk upon opening your browser]. Click the Request Service dropdown and select Interior Walls. 

   

4. On the confirmation screen, a Claim Number and Location should already be populated from Xactimate. Just enter a Claim Representative; most likely yourself.
   1. If you've imported floor plans in the past, you'll be used to entering a Floor Plan ID in the Claim Number field. You do not need to do that when importing a scope. Leave the claim number field as-is.

5. Click Submit. 

   

Export the Scope from Encircle

Open your scope in Encircle and follow these steps to assign the estimate to your Xactimate project.

1. In the Send to Xactimate section up top, click Send.
2. You'll see a list of recent data requests sent from Xactimate. Select the Xactimate project where you wish to send the estimate.

3. Click Continue. 

   

4. Your scope and floor plan will be packaged together to send to Xactimate. Review the outgoing export and click Send to Xactimate. 

   

5. Behind the scenes, Encircle is matching every task in the scope to a corresponding Xactimate line item, and mapping the floor plan and dimensions into a sketch. This typically takes about 2-3 minutes to process. 

   

Import the Estimate into Xactimate

Notifications in Xactimate will confirm that your Encircle data is ready to be imported.

1. Open the project and navigate to the Sketch section of the estimate.
2. Click the Data Import icon (the yellow icon that appears in the upper left hand corner of the sketch). 

3. This will open a list of all of the requested data that have been sent to this specific Xactimate File. Your recent data request will be selected by default. Click Import. 

   

4. Xactimate will process this data and automatically generate a Sketch and a Line Item Estimate. From here, you can work with the sketch and the line items as you normally would.
