What is a room template?

A room template is a set of rooms that you an auto-populate when creating a claim. Every org starts out with a template called "Default" that contains a room called "Exterior". This means that every time you add a new claim, a room called "Exterior" will be created by default.

Adding Room Templates

You can set up additional room templates, perhaps for other types of buildings like apartment or condo complexes.

This can especially be handy if you have a large multi-unit loss where it would otherwise take a long time manually add multiple rooms to each unit. In this scenario you may want to set up a temporary room template for use when setting up that job.

  1. Click Add Room Template.
  2. Enter a name for your new room template.
  3. Add your rooms.
  4. Click Save.
