Before you start inventorying, it's a good idea to snap some room overview photos and create a room note for any pre-existing damages in the room.

Item Photo & Description

  1. Open a room and tap the + button.
  2. Select Add Contents.
  3. Snap a photo of your first item.

AI Item Descriptions

If your team has AI Item Descriptions enabled, an item description will generate automatically within 4-5 seconds. You do not need to wait for the description to generate; you can continue working; adding other item details, assigning a box, starting the next item, etc. If you are working offline, the item description will be queued until you come back online.

If the brand, model number, and serial number are visible in the item photo, those details will auto-populate as well.

Manual Item Descriptions

If your team is not using AI Item Descriptions, or if you want to override the automated description, you may manually label items. Tap Details and enter this information. Speech-to-text can help speed this up.

Item Box & Disposition

Each item needs a Disposition to indicate its status e.g., “restorable”, “non-restorable”, “unaffected”, etc. This can easily be assigned from the camera view. Tap Set Disposition and choose from your custom list.

If the item is being packed out, be sure to assign a box. This can be done by scanning a QR label affixed to the box or by entering a box name manually. See full instructions on packing items.

Box & Disposition fields are “sticky”, meaning that the last-used box and last-used disposition will carry forward to the next item, until you change them. This is to save you time in the field, so that you don’t have to manually update these fields for each new item.

Item Details & Data Tag Photos

For high end items and electronics, it is suggested to capture a Data Tag Photo along with model and serial number. *Note that with AI Descriptions enabled, the brand, model number, and serial number fields will auto-populate from the profile photo when they are visible. Otherwise, enter this information manually.

  1. On the item Details page, select Add Data Tag Photo.
  2. Snap a clear photo of the item's data plate or product label.
  3. Crop the desired area.
  4. Tap Save
