Creating Items from Room Photos (Mobile)

It is generally recommended to snap item photos from close up, in the field, so that you get the sharpest and most in-focus photo for each item. However, you can also create contents by cropping them out of room photos.

This is handy in a number of scenarios; for example, say you forgot to document an item but you have a photo of it in your room photos.

  1. Open a room photo.
  2. Select Add Contents.
  3. Tap on each item you wish to crop. An orange dot will appear on it.
  4. Tap Done

    Create Items 1-4.jpg
  5. Open each photo and re-center the items so that they are in focus and fill up the frame as much as possible.
  6. Tap Create Items

    Create Items 5-6.jpg
  7. Close the room photo and navigate to the Contents tab to find your new items.

    Create Items 7.jpg

From here you can open those items and edit them as you normally would, e.g, add a disposition, brand, box number, etc.

Edit New Item.jpg

*If you have AI Item Descriptions enabled, your items will automatically be labeled for you. If the brand, model number, or serial number happen to be legible in the photo, those fields will auto-populate as well.

If your team does not have AI Item Descriptions enabled, you will need to manually label the items.
