My customer didn't receive a receipt!

By default, automated email receipts are enabled for tap payments. However, they are not enabled by default for refunds or payments made via payment link/request, as these are handled by Stripe's API. Make sure you toggle these on in your Stripe dashboard

In the meantime, if your customer has already made payment or if you have already created a refund, follow these steps to manually send a receipt from Stripe.

Send a payment receipt

  1. Open the Stripe dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Transactions page.
  3. Hover your mouse over the transaction and a menu will pop up on the right side. Click the email (envelope) icon.
  4. Confirm the email address(es) of the recipient(s) and click Send.

Send a refund receipt

  1. Open the Stripe dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Transactions page.
  3. Hover your mouse over the transaction and a menu will pop up on the right side. Click the send receipt.
  4. Confirm the email address(es) of the recipient(s) and click Send.
