Identifying Items

Item Descriptions are primarily generated in the field as your team completes their inventory and packout, but you can run ad-hoc item identification as needed.

Because descriptions are automatic in the mobile app, they will generally be filled in already. However if an item somehow ends up without a label, you can add an Item Description by opening the item and clicking Identify.

Or if you aren't happy with an item's existing description, you can generate a new one.

In some cases, you may want to manually enter an item description yourself. For example, total loss items, or items heavily damaged by fire. If an item is impossible for a human to define, it will be similarly difficult for the AI. *AI descriptions never overwrite user input.

Uploading & Identifying Items in Bulk

If you wish to upload item photos in bulk, the AI will automatically label them for you.

  1. On the Spreadsheet tab, click Add in the room where you wish to add the items.
  2. Select Multiple Items.
  3. Select Add Items via Photos

    Upload Items 1-3.jpg
  4. Select the item photos from your device.
  5. Click Save Items and Photos

    Upload Items 4-5.jpg
  6. The items along with their descriptions will auto-populate (you may need to refresh your page).

Creating Items from Overview Photos

It is generally recommended to snap item photos from close up, in the field, so that you get the sharpest and most in-focus photo for each item. However, you can also create contents by cropping them out of room photos. When you do this, the AI will automatically create item descriptions for the new items.

  1. Open a room photo.
  2. Select Create Contents Icon.png Create Contents from Photo

    Create from Overview 1-2.jpg
  3. Use your mouse to draw a boundary around each item you wish to crop. Leave the descriptions blank.
  4. Click the X at the top right to save and close the window.

  5. Your items will be created along with their descriptions.
