Learn how to take your Affected Area readings and your Affected HVAC readings in Hydro. Watch the following video or refer to the instructions below.
Glossary of Terms
Affected Area Reading | Temperature and relative humidity of the air inside the drying chamber. |
Affected Area HVAC Reading | Temperature and humidity readings from the heating and ventilation system inside the drying chamber (if present and active). |
Affected Area Reading
- Open the Affected Area Reading task.
- Select an affected room within your chamber to log the reading. You won’t be required to do an air reading for each room, but do make sure you take the reading in the same room each time.
- Tap Add Meter Photo and snap a meter photo.
- Enter the Temperature and Relative Humidity.
- Tap Save.
*You will see an alert indicating high humidity. Don’t worry—this is expected at the start of the job and won’t require immediate action.
Affected Area HVAC Reading
This is actually a really important reading as well because it will help determine whether that HVAC system is helping or hurting your drying process. You will use this information later when you're doing your equipment calculations.
- Open the Affected Area HVAC Reading task.
- Select a room for the reading.
- Indicate whether there’s an HVAC system and if you want to monitor it.
- If you choose No, the app will bypass this reading and will not prompt you for it going forward.
- If you choose Yes, you'll be prompted to take the HVAC reading and it will be added to your daily readings for the job.
- Tap Save.
To take the reading:
- Tap Add Meter Photo and snap a meter photo (holding your meter up to the vent).
- Enter the Temperature and Relative Humidity.
- Tap Save.
